The cabaret theatre DIE STACHELSCHWEINE has been in existence for over 75 years and has been based at its permanent venue in the Europa Centre on Tauentzien (Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf) since 1965.
With linguistic precision, analytical acumen and that subtle brand of wit, the programmes take aim at politics and society. They combine political analysis with humour, language with drama, and current affairs with an attempt to look beyond the issues making the headlines each day.
With Frank Lüdecke as its artistic director, the theatre is known for a style of cabaret that trusts its audience to discover the idea behind the punchline for themselves.
The result is political cabaret at its best: intelligent, elegant, musical and full of humour.
