A special highlight is the digital reconstruction of the Romanesque Caf\u00e9 in 3D, which offers an immersive experience using state-of-the-art virtual reality technologies.<\/p>\n
This project aims to preserve the cultural significance of the \"New West Berlin\" in the Weimar Republic. After the presentation in the Europa Centre, it is planned to show the mobile exhibition in various locations in order to reach a wide audience.<\/p>\n
The exhibition provides an insight into the life, work and flirtations of the guests of the Romanisches Caf\u00e9. Visitors can immerse themselves in the chronicles of this mythical place and experience the atmosphere of 1920s Berlin at first hand.<\/p>\n
Other attractions include a Charleston dance class video, a faithfully recreated caf\u00e9 setting and a large map of Berlin with historical images. The whole thing is complemented by a supporting programme with special events, readings and interactive activities.<\/p>\n
The Romanesque Caf\u00e9 was once a place of exchange for famous personalities such as Bertolt Brecht, Else Lasker-Sch\u00fcler, Billy Wilder and many others. The exhibition also sheds light on the tragic fate of many guests after the National Socialists seized power in 1933.<\/p>\n
