On 1 July 1989, DJ Dr. Motte and the artist Danielle de Picciotto initiated the first Lave Parade. With only 3 trucks and about 150 people, it went down the Ku'damm from Wittenbergplatz via the Europa Center under the motto "Peace, Joy, Pancakes". (Picture credits: Birgit Hoffmann / tip)
