Release event: A new experience of the Romanesque Café

On 28 April 2025 we cordially invite you to the official release event at the Atrium of the Europa Centre Berlin to the centre. At the centre of the evening is the updated exhibition "The Romanesque Café in Berlin in the 1920s" - a place of encounters, culture and history that comes to life on this evening.

• Reading with Ben Becker
  The renowned actor presents texts from his current stage programmes - powerful, forceful, live.
• Book presentation with book signing
  Discover the second, expanded edition of our exhibition catalogue. We will be happy to sign your copy on site on request.
• Historical original from the café
  On public display for the first time: A rediscovered original cup from the legendary Romanesque Café - a unique contemporary testimony.
• Experience virtual reality
  Immerse yourself in a digitally reconstructed world of the 1920s using VR glasses - with new rooms, historical details and free exploration.
• Music from the time of awakening
  DJ Stephan Wuthe plays authentic shellac records and brings the sound of the Golden Twenties back to the present day.
• Berlin pleasure culture with Mampe
  The traditional house of Mampe provides drinks in proper style - historically inspired, interpreted in a modern way.
